In 2011 Diego enters the healthcare public sector in Bologna entitled to direct, reporting to the General Manager, the Logistic Center of one of major hospital in the Italian public scenario: the Bologna University Hospital Authority St.Orsola.
Since 2014 he is also project leader of the Supply Chain centralization project of pharma, medical devices and other goods for 6 different public authorities, 20 hospitals, in the Area Vasta Emilia Centrale (part of Emilia Romagna region).
He frequently participates to regional based projects such as the regional guideline for budget certification, the european Peppol Project aimed to eprocurement - invoices, orders and delivery dispatch -, the definition of requirements and acquisition of a single ERP software for all the healthcare public companies of the region and others.
In 2015 he obtains an advanced degree in healthcare policies after a two yearlong cycle of the Scuola Superiore di Politiche per la Salute, Alma Mater Studiorum A.D. 1088 - University of Bologna.
His previous job positions range from Chief Operation Officer for a Italian based 3rd party logistic company in healthcare, chemical and cosmetics to Logistic Inbound Manager in a media/printing company of Arvato (Bertelsmann Group), to CEO’s assistant of Arvato Italy (Bertelsmann Group) during the construction of the largest rotogravure printing industrial facility in the south of Europe, to PM in the waste management field and CEO’s assistant in the construction and building sector.
